Last Days of February - Chelmorton first-ever four-way lights on Main Street

If a roundabout arrives, it will be time for the village youngsters to get those driving test forms ready! If a roundabout arrives, it will be time for the village youngsters to get those driving test forms ready!

Red traffic lights for February heat wave, but no traffic jams in Main Street. Record temperatures have driven the start of a healthy grass growth in Chelmorton, let’s not forget the Feb snow and last year’s 2018 Beast from the East. There is no doubt the field grass has got body in the warming days of Feb as grass grows, red or green light.

Meanwhile with great excitement the first-ever traffic light multi-zone, four-way system ever to arrive in Main Street landed in Chelmorton. A roundabout and we can start taking driving tests in the village, eleven hundred feet above sea level at the heart of the Peak District and we have red, amber and green.

The multi-way traffic lights arrived in the last days of February to see the finishing work for the new water main that runs from top to bottom of Main Street; tap pressures seem very healthy from the smart new blue pipe running down the road edge and set under concrete.
