A great deal of rain, family service at St Johns, Sunday January 19th and a great deal of school revision as mock As and GCSes got under way. Then a chilly afternoon on Thursday January 23rd, first hail then snow from Buxton south to Chelmorton village. From drains overflowing with water to a white evening blanket over Main street. Stars in the sky as the white layer chilled down and froze some more. Friday morning as usuall with a brown grey tarmac road showing but the paths were munchy crunchy as folk in the village awoke for the last but one Friday of January.
