Flower festivals of late May with a stone's throw from Chelmorton for bank holiday sunshine.

Buxton Half marathon ran via Brierlor bar on Sunday may 25t, in rain wet bank Holiday weekend. For bank Holliday Monday there was sunshine and a run of local festivals to follow like buses they all came at once. Male voice choir in the Pavilion Gardens, then onto Hollinsclough, John Lomas built Methodist Chapel was selling flower festival kit and it was best Victoria sponge in the village hall café with Hollinsclough school Headmistress Janet Mountford leas who reported over fifty children on the school books for this term.

Next stop Hartington for a fine flower festival in the church focused on remembrance of the great War, more Victoria sponge cake in the large Hartington village hall before a dash over to the flower festival at youlegrave. None stop to meet Vicar Richard at Monyash, Victoria sponge in the church tea shop then over the road to meet Chelmorton church warden Irene Ottey in the antique and jewellery showcase before a walk to the wells in the main street of Monyash. Flower festivals and cake for a Bank Holiday sunshine all within a stone's throw of Chelmorton.
