Chelmorton Scout, Morgause Lomas takes national win for Derbyshire archaeology
Morgause Lomas was online for the Council for British Archaeology's virtual national Archaeological Achievement Awards ceremony, (Dec 7th 2021).
Set to be held in Edinburgh Castle, the event went virtual as storms lashed the Scottish coast.
Morgause was on line from Derbyshire, nationally shortlisted for her work on a Derbyshire Scout badge to engage next generation archaeologists. She had created a Derbyshire Archaeology for scout groups, engaged local Scout packs to visit the likes of Arbor Low and Peveril Castle.
The Derbyshire Scout badge took the win for Innovation class at the National Awards.
Morgause Lomas is a graduate of Homerton College, University of Cambridge in Archelogy, a winner of the Queens Scout award.
